The last reference, with no promises, to the No wave of New York, we call John Lurie and his team, the Lounge Lizards. Lizards who would see some of the most curious guitar player, not to flatter them too much, like Arto Lindsay from DNA and a young Marc Ribbot who would work with Tom Waits, between others. John Lurie on saxo, unmistakable in his style, who always reminds me his roles in J.Jarmusch’s movies, like Stranger than Paradise and Down by Law, its black and white underground minimalism, associated to their jazz and the streets of dirty neighborhoods in the Big Apple, black and white as the suits, the ties and shirts of those Lounge Lizards.
