The Fall

Quase trinta anos na oposição, é obra, seja ela qual for, a oposição, não a obra, the Fall será sempre contestação sob todas as suas formas possíveis. Algumas pérolas de M.E.Smith, "All British groups act like peasants with free milk", "Communists are just part time workers", "Stop Mithering", a não levar à letra, e a não tirar do contexto sócio-económico.

Almost thirty years in the opposition, is a work of art, whatever which one, the opposition, not the art, the Fall will always be contestation under any form. A few pearls from M.E.Smith, "All British groups act like peasants with free milk", "Communists are just part time workers", "Stop Mithering", not to take literally, sure not out of the socio-economical contest. Or maybe, to take. In England, near the house of some friends, was a place called "The Rugby Social Workers Club", or something like that, each time I saw it, I used to think of the Fall, and couldn´t stop finding it funny, imagining them being kicked out of that kind of place. I know it was in 1884, they don’t play in such places nowadays.
I personally liked very much, Grotesque, Live at the Witch Trials, Perverted by Language, and after that not so much, but what they do recently don’t fall behind.
Better said, they are better now than fifteen years ago, and probably even better than twenty-seven. That’s an opinion, of course. And it seems the man has become 50 last March.

So It Goes 1978
